Run Solo
At Weekend FunRun, all kids under 16 are free unless they are competitive runners and want to be chip timed. Then, they have to formally register as a team member.
ALL WEEKEND FUNRUN EVENTS ARE ABOUT THE SAME THREE THINGS
Fun
The Fun Part-all Weekend FunRun events feature a live D.J, photographer, swag tee shirt and a bagel buffet brunch which will be boozy whenever possible featuring make your own Mimosa’s, beer and hard seltzer.
The Fitness Part-runners & walkers are equally welcome. Awards for fastest teams and individuals.
Fundraising
The Fundraising Part-all Weekend FunRun events are a fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Fundraising as a team or individual is completely voluntary, but if interested, please click on the geographically relevant Wish your Way fundraising link below to get started with team or individual fundraising for your local Make-A-Wish office.
ABOUT
MAKE-A-WISH
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a non-profit organization that grants the wishes of children with critical illnesses. For children diagnosed with a serious illness, a wish come true can be a crucial turning point in their lives that gives them hope and the strength to fight harder against their illnesses. Since it all began in 1980, Make-A-Wish has granted thousands of wishes to children with critical illnesses.
Although it’s completely voluntary, we would LOVE all Weekend FunRun participants to fundraise for their local Make-A-Wish office. To fundraise as a team or individual for your local Make-A-Wish office, please click on the geographically appropriate link below.
RACE MORNING WISH GRANTS AND FUNDRAISING TOTALS
At the end of each Weekend FunRun event, after the performance awards have been handed out, we will begin the charity presentation, at which time a trophy will be handed out to the largest fundraising team and individual, a Weekend FunRun donation check will be issued to the local Make-A-Wish office and the team/team member fundraising totals will be announced. And, most excitedly, we will announce how the raised funds will be used by the local MAW office, hopefully resulting in a wish grant for a child with a critical illness.
