REGISTRATION PROCESS

Every Weekend FunRun event has two types of participants: THE TEAM CAPTAIN and THE TEAM MEMBER.

The Team Captain creates the company, social or club team by clicking on the “create a team” icon for the desired event.

The Team Captain:

  • Chooses the desired race.
  • Selects the team type: Company-Social-Club
  • Completes the on-line team registration form with all needed contact information.
  • Selects the payment option: “Company/captain pays” or “Individual Pays for him/herself.”
    For “company/captain pay” teams, the company, social group or club will be invoiced a few days before the race. For” Individual pay” teams. each team member will pay the registration fee while signing up.
  • The price is $47 per team member and includes a tee shirt and lots of free food, drink and photos.
  • Decides whether or not to participate as a Make-A-Wish fundraising team.
  • Takes a leadership role in recruiting team members and promoting race to its contact list.
  • For “Company/captain pay” teams, if desired, can finalize the team prior to the registration deadline.
    Any team member who misses the on-line registration deadline can easily register as a race night registrant.
  • Individual pay teams do not have to finalize.
  • For “company/captain pay” teams, makes sure payment is received by Weekend FunRun prior to
    The payment deadline. Paying by credit card over the phone is the most commonly used payment methodology, but bringing a check to race or mailing a check is also fine. Racer packets cannot be distributed until payment is received or payment arrangements are made. We expect to get paid for team member registrations even if registered company decides at last minute not to participate.
  • Distribute the team’s racer packets to team members on race morning,, or if arranged, before race morning.
  • Also, the team captain must also join the team as a team member in order to participate in the race as a runner/walker. Two separate databases.

The Team Member joins the company, social or club team by clicking on the “join a team” icon for the desired event and then opening up the respective company, social or club team page.

The Team Member:

  • Completes the on-line registration form which provides us with all needed contact information.
  • Determines whether or not he or she wants to be timed. Timing is optional at all Weekend FunRun events. Timed participants will have a chip on the back of their bibs; untimed participants will not.
  • For individual pay teams, pays the required registration on-line via credit or debit card. If “company/captain pay” methodology has been selected, no payment will be asked for.
  • The price is $47 per team member and includes a tee shirt and lots of free food, drink and photos.
  • Assists the team captain in recruiting friends, family members, co-workers and others to join the team.
